We Are GLOBAL Women brought together voices from across the UK and around the world for a special International Women’s Day 2026 event celebrating collaboration, leadership, innovation, and global connection.
Hosted online, the event welcomed attendees from a wide range of sectors and backgrounds to explore this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain - recognising the power of generosity, support, and shared opportunity in creating a more equitable future.
Throughout the event, conversations focused on female-led networks, women founders, innovation, wellbeing, sustainability, leadership, funding, and the importance of creating stronger pathways for women across industries and communities.
A key theme running throughout the day was the importance of collaboration over competition — bringing together people, organisations, and communities to amplify ideas, create opportunities, and support meaningful change at both local and global levels.
The event also introduced several important developments within the growing WAGW movement, including the launch of WAGW Spotlights, celebrating female founders, networks, platforms, and champions for women, alongside the expansion of The GlobeLomats - WAGW’s growing international ambassador network helping connect local voices to global conversations.
In addition, the launch of the Virtual WAGW Network marked a significant next step in building an ongoing global community space designed to continue conversations, collaboration, and connection beyond events themselves.
International Women’s Day 2026 reflected the continued evolution of We Are GLOBAL Women as a platform rooted in leadership, inclusion, innovation, and international collaboration - bringing together voices, ideas, and opportunities to create meaningful, long-term impact.
Together, we continue to build something bigger than a single event: a connected global movement shaped by shared purpose, collaboration, and action.
